Highway 237 Trash Removal

For 9 years now, the Round Top Area Chamber of Commerce has adopted 2 miles of Highway 237 and kept it free of trash. You must have noticed we have remained one of the cleanest small towna in this area. It is because of caring citizens like you!

I hope you can join us TUESDAY, AUGUST 1 at 7:00am before it gets too hot.  If you would like to come later, please call or text so that I can look out for you - cell 832-660-3854.

The more helpers we have, the quicker we will be done (hopefully not later than 9:00AM to 10:00AM).  As usual, we meet at the Town Square. Please bring your gloves and picker sticks if you have them and wear closed-toe shoes (backpacks are great to free your hands).

We are grateful to all the people that helped before and hope some newcomers and especially Round Top merchants will join us in this effort.  It's a good time now and much needed after the recent mowing.

Please e-mail me at elisa@roundtopbnb.com or text me at 832-660-3854 to let me know that you are coming.  This way I can also notify you in case it rains and we may have to postpone. I will have bags and safety vests for all.

Thank you for making Round Top a cleaner and more beautiful place for us all!

Adult Dance Exercise Class
Aug. 23rd-Nov. 15th
Unity Theatre Presents: Adult Dance Exercise Class

Unity Theatre offers musical theatre dance/exercise classes for adults (high school and college students are welcome).  This 12-week course is designed for those who enjoy structured dancing with a group of fun, energetic adults (primarily women, but men are also welcome!).  Classes are led by choreographer, Libby Lovejoy.  Each one hour class is 1/2 hour tap dance and 1/2 hour musical theatre dance.  Wear comfortable clothing you can move in (and get sweaty in!).  Tap shoes and jazz shoes are required.

Every class begins with a short tap warm-up and progresses into across the floor and center floor tap dance combinations. Basic traveling steps, turns and time steps are covered.  The second portion of each class, musical theatre dance, includes some across the floor movement, group/ensemble work, different formations/patterns and short sections of choreography set to Broadway show tunes.  There is always something for everyone!

There are two class time options: the 5:00pm class is for beginners and those that prefer to move at a bit of a slower pace, and the 6:00pm class moves at a quicker pace.

Classes take place on Wednesday evenings at Unity Theatre, from August 23rd through November 15th (excluding September 6th - week of Labor Day).

Tuition is $125.00 for the twelve week class, and the registration forms can be downloaded at www.UnityBrenham.org (under Education/Workshops & Classes) or picked up from the Unity Theatre Box Office at 300 Church Street, Brenham, TX.
