Chamber Adopt A Highway Clean Up - For many years now, the Round Top Area Chamber has adopted two miles of highway.  Due to bad weather and high weeds we could not clean for a long time.

The more helpers we have the quicker we will be done.  As usual we will meet at the town square (If you like to come earlier Elisa will be there).  Please bring your gloves, bug spray and wear closed shoes.  We would love to see you even if you have never joined us before. We are grateful to all the people that helped before.  Please come again - a few of us cannot do it alone.  Please let Marianne from the Chamber or Elisa know that you are coming.

Emerging Artist Competition: A Great Summer Project

Once again the teens of Fayette and surrounding counties can enter ARTS Emerging Artists Competition where teens grades 6th " 12th can win real money for their original art creations. Each summer ARTS sponsors, with the underwriting of Mary Le and Arnie Johnson, an art contest featuring our local teens recent art projects. Up to $3600.00 dollars will be given out in prizes and the works of all participants will be shown and for sale in the Ross Gallery for two weeks in August of this year.

Teens are encouraged to submit two pieces of original and recent art for the contest. The idea is to encourage our teen artists to continue their artistic development throughout the summer months independently. Their entries will be judged by an objective jury. Awards are given for Best of Show, $500; and then for each grade at 1st  place -  $250, 2nd place - $125, and 3rd place - $75.

The contest is free to enter. Teens can and must sign up on line at Click Here or call for an application at 979-378-2113. Artwork must be delivered for the show and judging to ARTS Fayetteville location by August 4th, 2015. The Opening Reception and Awards presentation will occur on August 15th , 2015 from 5 " 7 PM.
