Darden Smith
February 11
ARTS, Arts for Rural Texas and the Bugle Boy Foundation present Darden Smith live at the Country Place Hotel in Fayetteville.

Darden Smith is a nationally recognized song writer and performer known for his children's interactive program, "Be an Artist," that is designed to challenge students to follow their talents and passions in life.  Darden's message is simple: Do what you love with attention, deliberate action, and focus, and you will find happiness and success.

Darden has also developed the program, SongwritingWith:Soldiers. Begun in 2012, this program pairs teams of professional songwriters with active duty and veteran military members to write songs based on their stories of combat and returning home.  The result changes, and saves, lives.

William Shakespeare's Julius Caesar and Henry V
Feb. 29 & Mar. 1
The University of Texas at Austin and Shakespeare at Winedale present Julius Caesar and Henry V performed by the American Shakespeare Center.  Direct from the stage of the American Shakespeare Center's celebrated Blackfriar's Playhouse, the world's only re-creation of Shakespeare's indoor theatre, the ASC touring troupe brings Renaissance drama to life in exciting and accessible performances.

The American Shakespeare Center has gained a national reputation by performing according to the principles of the Renaissance stage.  Careful attention to language, a fast and fluid performance style, and a creative use of music and dance are hallmarks of ASC productions.  Actors and audience share the same lighting, as they would have in Shakespeare's playhouse, encouraging an intimate and festive atmosphere.

Tuesday, March 1 - Henry V by William Shakespeare

Doors open for seating and live pre-show at 7:00pm; Show starts at 7:30pm
