Old 300: Gone to Texas
May 19
The Round Top Family Library FYI Series and The Round Top Area Historical Society are joining together to bring you Professor Paul Spellman's program, Old 300: Gone to Texas.

Old 300: Gone to Texas is the saga of hundreds of families who came from all across North America in the early 1820s to settle in Stephen F. Austin's colony in Mexican-held Texas.  The story tells who these people were, where they came from, how they got here, and why they came in the first place.  Join us for an informative and entertaining talk by Paul Spellman, History Professor and Author, and a descendant of the Old 300. Stay afterwards for a reception and an opportunity to purchase an autographed copy of Dr. Spellman's book.
